The story behind it

Israel's army was frozen with fear. For forty days Goliath, the Philistine champion, challenged anyone to fight him, and no one would. David — too young for the army and only there to bring food to his brothers — volunteered. He turned down the king's armor, picked up his sling and five smooth stones, and walked out declaring that the victory belonged to God. One stone was enough.
